Glimpses of the mighty Himalayas and some blue lakes
Hi all,
I am not much of a landscape photographer (more of an N&W guy) but I wanted to give you some glimpses of my home country's magestic mountains, the mighty and the holy Himalayas. I have experienced the most of the mountain ranges such as the Rockies, Alps, Andes and the Himalayas. Nothing compares in sheer size to the Himalayan ranges. Truly humbles you.
Included are some flight photography from the commercial jetliner and those from the Ladakh region of India (which was on the ancient silk road) taken during my 2008 and 2011 visits. The blue colors of these high altitude lakes has to be seen to be believed and changes color during the day based on light, clouds etc.
