I'll let you know in a couple weeks. The wife and I are leaving for a 3500 mile trip around UT, CO, SD, WY, and ID including some hiking/trekking where I plan to carry around this lens and my Sigma 16mm.

Thanks! I just picked up this lens myself, so I’ll see how it holds up.

Can anyone compare IQ of the Sigma to the Sony 70-200 F4? I have a nice copy of the 70-200 and like the lens. That being said I do find myself wishing for more reach. This would be for landscapes. TIA

I think I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but this lens is noticeably better than the 70-200 G and I had a fairly decent copy of the 70-200 G as far as I could tell. For common focal lengths, the Sigma was sharper wide open than the 70-200G was even when stopped down. At 135mm it was close, but the Sigma was still better.
The Sigma is noticeably heavier, but doesn't take up much more volume (and more importantly has a similar diameter) so fits int the same space in my bag that the 70-200 G did. The diameter of the Sigma's lens hood is less than the 70-200 G's hood too which helps when fitting into tighter spaces.
