Was lucky enough to be able to do a 2 week Japan trip before the corona virus outbreak really took off and it was a fantastic experience. Had an incredible number of great photographic opportunities. Took at least 70k+ images so it has taken a while to go through but now I am ready to share some of my favorites.
Morten, I did a similar trip a few years back and your impressive images bring a lot of memories. I enjoy your eagle images; those Stellar's sea eagles are something else. And I love your red fox and the snow monkey images. YGMV!

Glad you like them and in fact if I remember correct it was you posting the first shots I ever saw of the snow monkeys and that definitely inspired me to take a detour to Nagano and the monkeys before going home from Hokkaido. Hope to go back some day and photograph them bathing in cold snowy weather, it was warm and they hardly entered the pool while I was there.
Beautiful photos. The Steller Sea Eagles are iconic and are probably the largest eagles in existence. Of your 70k shots we look forward to seeing some cranes as well.
