This isolation phase is getting on my nerves.
Worked on few old, earlier rejected snaps to keep me sane through this period.
Let me know if you like any of these
I shoot the first one at Glacier point. I was shooting with half dome in view and then I turned right and saw this scene unfolding. I quickly turned my camera towards that unknown peak and snapped few shots. While I had processed that traditional half dome shot 3 years back, I neglected these series of snaps. May be those did not look appealing in comparison.
The third shot I took at Green River overlook, Canyonlands national park, in 2010. It was a very cloudy evening. Those heavy and dark rain clouds really did not reflect the bright sunset color I was hoping for. I had rejected this photo primarily for two reason a) I really did not plan my shot properly and ended up having nothing in the foreground. If I visit this location again, I would walk towards my right and find a rock or shrub as my foreground element b) I did not like the dark, gloomy feel of this photo.
I like that first shot, though I could see how it might seem underwhelming if you're comparing it to shots of Half Dome in the same light. That's Mt Starr King, if you're curious.
