I shoot the first one at Glacier point. I was shooting with half dome in view and then I turned right and saw this scene unfolding. I quickly turned my camera towards that unknown peak and snapped few shots. While I had processed that traditional half dome shot 3 years back, I neglected these series of snaps. May be those did not look appealing in comparison.
The third shot I took at Green River overlook, Canyonlands national park, in 2010. It was a very cloudy evening. Those heavy and dark rain clouds really did not reflect the bright sunset color I was hoping for. I had rejected this photo primarily for two reason a) I really did not plan my shot properly and ended up having nothing in the foreground. If I visit this location again, I would walk towards my right and find a rock or shrub as my foreground element b) I did not like the dark, gloomy feel of this photo.
