As far as #10 is concerned it is a consolation to realise that asses have short legs

thanks Peter. I agree, I've been to SA twice and I too observed that. Not only the birds, but the people, the corrupt policemen, and the villages, etc reminded me about India a lot. Incidentally and I am sure you know that there many people of Indian origin in SA, and I had some food like bunny chow, which it is alleged traces its roots back to the Indian laborers many centuries ago in Durban.
