Thank you! Yes, that's what I think happened. Most likely he hit it, killed it, and came around to collect his reward, or perhaps wounded it and the bird escaped his talons, only to be carried off minutes later after expiring. Regardless, I was thrilled to catch the moment!
I'm late to this party but just wanted to congratulate you on a tremendous set! It's easy to imagine the action happened FAST so kudos to you on keeping it all together to get this fascinating sequence, properly exposed and focused.
The behavior is fascinating in its own right. Good job on the reflexes and series--awesome set!
