We had a magical 6 days with these great apes. We somehow managed to dodge the rains while photographing and each day brought special memories. To be at minimum focus distance from these creatures was more than we could have hoped for.

Don, those are impressive and enjoyable images more than just photographically! I can imagine how it must have felt to photograph them at close to the MFD. YGMV!

Great set Don - amazing contrast between the relaxed look of the gorillas with that of the chimps. I wonder if that has anything to do with hunting?

Oosty,
Both species are habituated and not hunted at all. Chimps, by nature are more aggressive, but the photos show normal behaviour and not aggression.
