The photos are simply breathtaking and beautiful. I sure am glad that I came across this website.
Because of my enthusiasm I am posting a photo from Iceland.
It is a mountain where our (jolasveinar) the 13 Santa brothers live and work. Very few people see them during the whole year, but many can see them as they arrive one at a time in the 13 days before Christmas to put small packages in children’s shoes at night. They are odd characters with even stranger parents and are all over three hundred years old or more.

Wow, incredible humbling work here - great idea.
I don't do landscapes, mostly abstracts, but here are a few I liked this year:

Grasses dance against the sky as wind moves quickly

AMAZING work guys. I haven't taken landscape shots in quite a while, but you all have made me want to take another trip!

I apologize for breaking the 1 image rule (if there is such a thing), but my favorite landscape photo of this year happens to be rather cliche.

A difficult choice. This shot of "Cascade on the Paradise" gives me the most satisfaction on several levels, so it has to be my personal choice.

I'm on vacation in California and only have a few pictures on my laptop with me. This was definitely one of my favorites I took this year.
