p.3 #1 · Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART Lens for Sony E-mount only $799!
I'm in agreement about the size. As tempting as it may be, it's a dslr lens on a mirrorless body and that kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion. Pictures look lovely, though

Used Sony A7R2
one of top 3 28mm (with Otus and Nikon E) except Leica M system.
In my experience, Sigma is better than Leica M 28mm lenses in Sony.
In my experience, Nikon E and Sigma are very similar to each other in sharpness.
Sigma is more crisp and corner sharpness neck to neck.
Slightly better than Leica Elmarit-R 28mm F2.8 V2 E55 at Sony System in sharpness,
but Leica has own unique color and character.

Heads up it’s now $459 new on B&H deal zone, just for today. I just got the Thypoch, but if I were in the market for a fast 28 with AF and didn’t mind the size and weight, this would be an enticing option.

We all thought five years ago already when this thread started that this was a clearance sale to make room for a mirrorless fast 28mm lens. I am still hopeful, but in the meantime this still is truly a superb lens.
