A few different approaches, lighting and angles for portrait for a change, at least for me, except for the last one. Please feel free to leave any comment or feedback.
I don't do portraits so I probably see them a bit differently than those that do
#1 I like the concept. I don't care for the hand on the left, showing a disconnect from the rest of the arm just seems odd and intrusive, without it I think there is more to the direction the eyes are going without the hand blocking if that makes sense?
#2 I like this unique angle, almost wish she were giving us eye contact or the left hand/arm was rotated same direction the leg/foot is.
#3 That is just flat a cool image, great vision buddy!
#4 I like this angle. I like the BG, I am struggling with the sharp bend (looks uncomfortable) of the left hand wrapped around the elbow. I wonder about this image with a bit more catchlight in the eyes?
I probably have no business commenting but I enjoy portrait work as it is something that flat out scares me that I won't do the model justice so I stay away Yup, pretty darn scared of people

Hi Karl, thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your points as a set of different eyes can bring different perspective that I take for granted or just simply don't pay attention to.
Good point for #1 and I could see your reasoning behind that. It had to do with the limited size of my lighting source. I will keep your point in mind for future sessions. I also see your point in #4. I balanced two light sources between available and flash (inside a softbox) there. I changed the ratio between them here and there by moving the flash light source closer/further away. That particular image was lit with more available light.
All great, but #2 and #3 edge out the other two for me - especially the B&W with red spot color. I wonder if the first one might be a touch better if it was clearer that she had her hands on glass (or am I wrong, is she just being a mime?).
Thanks for posting these great photographs! Thanks!
