Hey, my friend's wedding is on it's way lol... is there any best photoghrapher you suggest?
There is no "best photographer" because there are several styles how people take photos. You should find albums that you like the look of. Then maybe ask to see samples 20 inches or bigger since anything can look good on a phone screen or Facebook or even website. If you see some nice website mini photos, see if they will email a sample that can fill your monitor. But here .. maybe Joe can help you .. his website should be available .. budget maybe $10,000 to $30,000 depending on size of the wedding.
Hey Josaf, I can help you with the best choice! Where your friend's getting married, New York?? If you are looking for the best wedding photographers in New York check this guys: https://imagestudio.com/photo - they turns intimate weddings into luxuries, he was very professional. I am very happy with the result and I will continue to spread good words about them.
There are really good ones though. Usually they:
- have a portfolio that isn't just posed stuff outdoors
- have photos of candids + moments you don't see on other websites
- are very strong at the posed stuff
- know how to use flash + aren't afraid of it
- are nice and willing to answer your questions + educate you on wedding photography
- have liability insurance
- have multiple cameras and lenses
- have 3+ places where they back up their files afterwards
Probably a number of them here, and elsewhere. Do try to avoid TheKnot or WeddingWire.
I'm also available and local. Can click my profile for the website and feel free to email me at [email protected] with questions. Or post your questions here.
I have no idea who the hottest wedding photographer is or who shoots the most high profile weddings, but I love checking out wedding photos on this site and I just drool when I see this guy's stuff, profile:
zalmyb. All the stuff I've seen is from orthodox Jewish weddings. It's the story telling photo journalistic style which just makes you feel like you were there.
I've never met the guy, don't even know his name, and have no clue if he is even primarily a wedding photographer, but of all the people who I check out, I like his stuff the most.
i don't scribe to all the best shooters have passed away..... hogwash!!
Reality... there are many average at best shooters.
Also reality, there are different styles of photographers.
There are photographers that handle big city weddings. Others are really good with mountain weddings.
Some photographers excel at cultural weddings .... indian, taiwanese or jewish, etc....
It is tough to differentiate different levels of shooters for the average person.
But you can find excellent shooters around the country and this big blue planet.
Be patient and do your homework.
with this said..... the most important part is to find a shooter (photographer) the bride and groom are comfortable with. (i am assuming portfolio has been checked)
Do meet prospective photographers... ask questions.
Or have a facetime meeting given the current situation or if the photographer is in a other state.
If you have questions.... i can answer them for you or steer you in the right direction.
