Thanks Joshua! What kinds of camera bags are you guys using for location portraits with this beast?

Well it depends on how much gear I am taking but I can even fit it in this Lowepro Format BP150 II which is, to me, a pretty small bag and can still fit my 35mm 1.2 and a few extra things in there.
As far as events, I use a Moneymaker dual strap with the 105mm and normally the 35mm 1.2 on the other side but that varies depending on what I am doing during the event.

Joshua could likely make stunning photos with a lens made from the bottom of a milk bottle he’s that good a photographer. That said I have adapted my Nikkor 105mm F1.4 (in inventory) and find it to be superb. A large lens with an 82mm filter but nothing like the size/weight of the Sigma which is cheaper.

Thank you very much, Bruce! I prefer a good lens though...but I agree that lens is a beast to handle though.

We had an earthquake this Sunday, on top of the COVID-19 situation. So while for safety reasons out of the building and at the same time keeping mandatory social distance, we went for a short stroll & photo shoot (to take our minds of things for a little while). It helped me, can't vouch for my son.

I know this lens is chunky and not light (as you see, I refrain from using the adjectives such, heavy, monstrous, humongous, etc. ) but yet, I took it to cover the Mask Carnival in Venice last month. Here is one of the images from there... Cross posted in the big FE image thread, as well.

The latest PC word seems to be 'chubby'. Other possibilities include:

the not so nice list:

thickset; heavyset; portly; plumpish; tubby; rotund; husky; blimp; corpulent; elephantine; whalelike; porcine; ponderous; inflated; gross; oversized; lard-arse; paunchy; dumpy; obese; high BMI; cumbersome; pregnant; lumbering; laden; lead-footed; copious; lumpy; stubby; stumpy.

the recommended list:

full-figured; stout; beefy; brawny; burly; meaty; loaded; ample; considerable; substantial; thick; solid; thick-bodied; stocky.

'I know this whalelike lens is grossly corpulent and ponderous'

or

'I know this substantial lens cuts a stocky profile'

Now that was fun.

Ever since I got the 105mm I haven't used my 135GM much! It's a really nice lens, I just recently started using it outdoors

Here's a pic I took a couple of months ago with the 105 along with a close to 100% crop of it. I've mostly used it in studio until recently but don't really have any pics taken outdoors to show yet

Beast of a lens. Now I consider the 35mm f/1,2 to be a light lens. lol

Focuses extremely fast on the A7RIV, only struggling in strong back-light. But this seems to be an issue I'm having with all AF lenses lately on my A7RIV (35 f/1,2, GM 85 and this one).

EDIT: Processed to taste, more structural and detailed in the OOF than the SOOC output is.
