I've had the LLL 8E Safari for quite a while, but I've never been happy with the color and gloss of the green paint they used. Light Lens Lab had a "Time" version of the 8E, so I thought I would recreate that look on my Safari edition:
In real life, it looks more matte and less "scratchy" than it does in iPhone photos. Used a sanding stick to get the edges started, then 1000 grit, 2500 grit, then wet sand of the 2500 grit. Lens cap and rear cap are aluminum, but I gave them the same treatment. Also sanded the green UV filter, which is brass (not pictured).

Love the commitment to making it yours. Now with your "droid" polished titanium AA you have a "Boba Fett" 8E
I’ve found the black paint on the 35 APO to be a bit delicate…
