I will play...and take a few guesses. It will get some of the same treatments as X-Pro3 such as the same sensor, new classic neg. simulation, better EVF, perhaps titanium and even better dials/controls, dura-silver and classic black only, no flip screen. The form factor will in large stay the same minus the D-pad. The big deal will be a new lens which will come under scrutiny by us all as we will compare to the old 23mm f/2 and the other 23mm lenses. I think the price of $1500 sounds realistic and if the lens is top notch it may be an interesting release.

Maybe some weather sealing as well. I doubt two SDs. That would make it larger, but you never know. But I agree with idea of XT3/XPRO3 chip, update to new emulations. Another idea could be a better MF capability with real manual focus a la Leica Q. But that's unlikely.
I'm kinda waiting on one, depending on the lens. If it's somehow a redesigned 23 1.4 and small-ish, with the xt3/xpro3 feature set...that'd be amazing.
Funny to see how differently people choose. I for one am happy with the current lens but need weather sealing and definitely want a flip-out screen. Without those two I doubt I’ll buy.
Call me a non-purist, but I'd love to see a touch screen for Touch AF. I loved joysticks on my Canons, Nikon, and X100F, but since using the EOS-R and XT-20 w/ their Touch AF, it's a feature I've come to really like due to how much quicker it is to adjust my AF point. Joystick is glacial in comparison.
Some slight weather sealing, though not too much that would increase the size.

Sure, a new lens, since they're taking order
I'll partner with GDan here and suggest an LCD that can either be, or not be, depending on orientation.
(I generally think articulating screens are a Good Thing, but on this streamlined camera I'd be fine with just a fixed, rear-facing screen in order to keep things small and straightforward. On the other hand, if Fujifilm can incorporate a Canon "R" style flexible screen that allows use with or without flipping the screen out without making the camera bigger then I can see it.)
I don't own a X100[x] camera, though I have shot with the X100f, and I liked it quite a bit. I keep thinking of getting one... but my XPro2 with the 27mm pancake is already quite small. Still may happen, especially if there are blow-out prices on the X100f...
I'm excited for the V, with hopes that the new lens is great (likely), and with hopes that it has WR and a flip screen like the X-T3. I know it would increase size a little but it is SO useful for shooting lower than however far you want to crouch. I want to be lower to the ground for landscape shots, so I only extend my tripod to maybe 4ft in a lot of cases. With the X100F, I had to crouch for that, or raise it up higher so I'm not straining my legs constantly crouching down to change settings and take some more exposures. I'd love to be able to just look down and see my framing and settings. I do this for video as well, and though the X100 line is not for video, I have a feeling the V will be competent in this area for probably the first time for any X100 camera. I would like to use it for quick vlogs and other short clips while traveling (when a 1-camera-1-lens system makes a lot of sense). We will see if Fuji decides to add a flip mechanism or not. I feel like they should be adventurous instead of playing it safe. Just please let it be a normal LCD screen... I do like the X-Pro3 screen in some ways, but I'd prefer the X-T3 screen.

If they make hidden screen like Xpro3, then I would be done with Fuji, never look back. Pro3's sale will tell Fuji what to do.
Despite the continuing hype, I think Fujifilm is hearing loud and clear the unhappiness about that XPro3 screen design.
Yes, I know that some folks are saying they like it, but a) a ton of folks are voicing disappointment and b) there are alternative designs they could have used that would have pleased everyone.
I predict that the X100(x) will have a simple rear-facing screen. It may not even articulate. The DNA of that camera is simple, small, lightweight, and basic — and the current screen design fits that well for the largest number of users.
Removing the rear screen would displease a ton of potential buyers, and an articulating screen would not fit with the camera's heritage. In fact, for every buyer who would think that the tiny square screen marked an improvement, I'd bet that about ten potential buyers would have reactions ranging from "huh?" to "no way."
An articulating screen would be less offensive and a larger percentage might like it. But I just don't think that complicating this particular camera would make a lot of sense.
