There was absolutely zero forecast of aurora to start with.
With all day running around the area, I was expecting a good night sleep for the next morning's photographing adventure.
However with a slightly lit greenish color showing in the sky near the famous mountain, Vestrahorn in Hofn, Iceland, rushing into that area was followed.. and the rest is the history.. until 4 am the next morning.. ever strong dancing in the sky..
This is the very first shot that night, only that I found it yesterday in my memory chip.. while I was collecting all my aurora pictures that I plan to present at some gathering here in DC next week. I did the processing again to reveal the color more clearly. And I see distinct colors.. yes rainbow colors.. So it will be "Rainbow Aurora"
It is always exciting to see aurora, but with this rainbow like colored aurora at the vestrahorn, Iceland on that night was a special! Thanks for your comments.

Beautiful colors! I have not had a chance to capture auroras, may be someday...
There are so many places you can go to see Auroras.
Alaska may be then good place and Yellowknife, Canada is not too far from where you are.
Thanks for your comments, Appreciated!
