Lightroom profile for the Sigma 24-70mm ƒ2.8 done. I set it to do geometry and vignette correction, but not CA (since the lens has a built-in profile for CA).
Here's a screenshot showing where it needs to be placed (after you un-zip it) to work properly (this is on my Mac, but the Windows path should be similar).
FYI, the Sigma's FOV @ 24mm is noticeably wider than comparable midrange zooms. Here's an animated GIF I created to demonstrate this. I framed each lens so that the right edge is aligned at roughly the same point, so the difference in FOV will be noticeable in how much you can see at the left edge of the frame. This is with the built-in lens profiles stripped from the raws, although the FOV difference is about the same with the profiles left in place.

PS
Oops, that link was wrong. Corrected now.
If there was a “we are not worthy” emoji I would put it here for you.
Good performance except for loca, distortion and vignetting. Apart from loca, Nikon S lenses do a similar thing: let software correct distortion and vignetting. It's a bit double on if it's worth it or not (like ISO performance slacks on A7RIV, so just the corner boosting alone might remove detail advantage of A7RIV).
At same time, corners are sharp, across frame, (more so then competitors) and the lens is half price of GM and is smaller. Some price has to be payed not? What if it was softer but afore mentioned issues did not exist? I think they would be similary dissapointed. And i'm not convinced the Sony 24-70mm GM would be better (apart in loca).

It is what it is, a pretty unspectacular lens, like all other standard zooms.
I will keep my Tamron, no obvious reason to switch.
I tested four corners at f2.8 at 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and 70mm. At all focal four focal length, the sharpness of the four corners are more less the same at pixel peeping level. So I guess that means the lens is basically centered? I am not really a lens tester like some experts here.
Yesterday at around 2:30 I took a few shots with the bright sun in/near the frame, the flares seem pretty strong, but I also tried the CV 21mm f1.4 for comparison, although not the exact composition, the flares are pretty strong too.
It's a really good lens and I personally like it better than the 24-70 GM I had tried, but I don't see myself using a zoom too much so I think I'm going to resell it and put the money towards something else 😂
Just got my copy today, finally BH shipped. What a lens for the price! Low light performance is not at par with sony but nothing to complain at this price. Its sharp, focus is spot on and fast, great for those close up shots too with min focusing distance, great for portraits. Dont compare with primes and this lens is worth every penny, better range than tammy.

Do you mean it doesn't focus as well in low light as the 24-70GM?
That's good information, thanks. A reason I've been avoiding the Tamron 28-75, despite seeing some good results from it, is owning it's great-grandfather on Canon mount, years back, and missing that extra wide field on a regular basis. That clenches it for me.

Light level doesn't inherently affect sharpness.
It either means slightly off focus or lower light transmission (and thus higher ISO/longer shutter/wider aperture). The latter is actually fairly common for Sigma lenses, so it wouldn't exactly be surprising.

Yea, i have seen it with other sigma lens, probably lower light transmission. But its not noticeable as such.
I generally use my GM16-35mm and seldom use or touch my Tamron 28-75mm. For the love of 24mm on the wide end I decided to experiment and buy a Sigma 24-70mm ART zoom.
My very initial findings is that it's very pleasant sooc. Sharpness, colours, AF speed, render is incredible and analyzing the price to performance ratio......It's a keeper!!
