A few more. This time you can thank my sick daughter who agreed to a couple pictures even though she's feeling terrible too. I'll try and shoot more at 35mm. Most of the portraits were done at 50 and 70mm, with one below at 24mm.
Thank you for sharing. Light looks pretty good in your photos. How’d you find the Eye-AF? Mine seemed to struggle in a dark room whether at f/2.8 or f/8. Had to put a flashlight on to get it to find my daughter’s eye for these. It did manage to find the face, but the without the flashlight the focus was not spectacular. Had a few misses before I pulled out the flashlight. Granted, this was a pretty dimly lit room without the flash. Going to have to try again in decent, natural light as it seemed to work fine in other rooms.

Thanks, but I actually meant the cap on the back.
Agreed, the Tamron back cap looks quite a bit bigger. But even still, that makes the Sigma only a little bit taller, which is much better than expected. I'll have to decide if the weight and girth is worth 24mm and bokeh.

Yea the Tamron’s cap is bigger. The Sigma is a tiny bit longer - the listed specs confirm this. I shared the pics because I was surprised once I was able to see them both side that the Sigma wasn’t significantly larger given it’s more traditional range and comparisons to the GM. I think people can use their imaginations for that last 5mm.
May I ask where did you guys order your sigma from? I called my local camera stores and none of them have an ETA for the lens. B&H and Adorama both don't have it in stock as well.

I also placed mine within a few minutes of it going live at B&H. Pretty low serial no.

You have such a lovely family! I hope they are feeling better soon
I’m not a street photographer but went out for a little walk to try out the lens. Focus is nice, fast and quiet. Looks to be pretty heavy distortion at the 24mm end that LR CC is not correcting and I can’t seem to fix myself. I’m assuming there will be a profile for it at some point, but it doesn’t appear to be there yet.
Check out the buildings and railing around the ice rink.
These are just a few more images taken around the house last night in dim lighting. Again, eye autofocus is spot on and the lens remains very sharp. These are at higher ISOs. Except for the first two, I include a cropped image just after the original full frame so you can see the sharpness and accuracy of eye autofocus in dim lighting conditions. Also in the images of my daughter you can see foreground bokeh.

Is she still sick?! Leave her alone! Pics look great though
I’m feeling good about this lens other than the (mustache?) distortion at the short end. I’m hopeful that’s temporary though until what I guess is the “official” release of 12/20?
