Fred, thanks for bringing this thread back into view, I had not seen it before. I appreciate your testing, and your results are in line with what I saw early last year when I tested 45mp sensors against the A7RV - to my eyes the increased detail captured in landscapes was apparent and beneficial to my work, but it is subtle enough that some won’t see it as very useful for them. I love this 61mp sensor - I shoot mostly at base ISO, and the quality is very satisfying to me. Even more so than the GFX100 which I shot extensively, because I strongly prefer the A7RV and lens system in terms of flexibility, variety, and overall handling, and the 61mp has proven to be more than good enough for the fine art prints I make. This Sony sensor hits a real sweet spot for me.
