For size weight convenience it is sweet.
Yes that was in cropper mode for an effective 525mm.
I couldn't remember so I went to my Flickr page and click on show EXIF
and then scrolled down to see.
The lens is interesting on the FF bodies because it starts to vignette at something
like 300mm....I'm not sure exactly but google would find exactly when.
I bought it for the wife but she's been using the 100400GM as I use the 200600 mainly.
I want to do a comparison between the E70350 and the Tam 28-200 but will never have time.
Early this morning, just as the Sun was cresting the distant ridge.
A7Riv + E 70-350G.
All shot in cropper mode where the A7Riv enjoys a seemingly endless buffer.
Besides the huge bugger in crop mode the A7Riv's latest FW update shows that even
tracking a fast bierd flying straight at you is not bad with this lens.

Great shots everyone - love the two landscapes with the Tamron 17-28 Medicine Man!
You didn't like the Mallards! Haha, that's OK
Yes sir the Tam 17-28 AND 28-200 have greatly simplified my travel kit.
With the 200-600 and a 1.4 I only add an astro lens or macro depending on
when and where we're headed.
Playing with my new 90/2.8. Still learning how to handle the A7R4, and other than my middle finger rubbing against the tangent of the FE lenses, I'm enjoying the camera thus far.
As I await the arrival of the EOS R5 I thought I'd see how much I could pull and push a file from the A7Riv. From the backyard.
Forgot to mention, using my new favorite walk-around lens for the A7Riv, the E 70-350G.
First as shot then processed.

This morning's effort. Again with the gem E 70-350G.
I decided before I left the mountain house where the photo gears are massed to take the Riv and this one lens to town for the work week. More I use it the more I like it.
The E 16-55G is around here too and I regret not Milky Way'ing with it on last month's trip to see how it would do. Regardless I need to shoot it and get a handle.

I have both, and haven't made a direct comparison, as I use them differently. The 28-200 is my go to all around lens, and the 70-350 when I need the reach. I can say, as I'm sure you know, the IQ on both is surprisingly good. I shoot the 70-350 mostly in FF mode and then crop in PP. Even at 350 vignetting allows you to get as much as 38mp in, much more at lower FL's. One of its main advantages is how light it is. These two plus the Samyang 45/1.8 for low light, and the Samyang 18 for WA make an excellent small and light kit, with the rIV, which is why I decided I didn't need to downsize from FF.
Yep ' Samyang 45/1.8 for low light, and the Samyang 18 for WA' have them both and smitten. I do 400mm+ mostly and no excuse for not having one of the Roks or Sams in the pocket.
Next week I'll be returning the 70-350 to the shelf. I'm trying to use one lens per week.
