I mostly photograph people - and in all kinds of circumstances.
This past weekend, I covered an annual Masonic masquerade ball. The lighting was pretty low and I wanted to push the RIV to perform with the 135GM. How a camera does under ideal situations is one thing. How it performs under low light and high ISO is another.
Some may know I recently received/tested/ and promptly returned an E 70-350mm G. I had high hopes because I'd also received the E 16-55G and love it. My received copy of the 70-350mm was just not sharp at 350mm-not even close.
So I popped my FE 70-300mm G onto the Riv to re-affirm I did have that zoom range covered. I'll try again with the E 70-350mm but down the road a bit. Here's one via the 70-300G. I'ts not a 100400 level image but I've always loved the 70-300 range so it will do for now. This shot the day before the snow it-
