Thank you for your quick replies.
I made a typo above.. I wanted to say above, that if I change the correction from automatic to manual, the white curve does NOT appear any longer.. when brighting the image, I do not see the white line.
I also think it could be overcorrection. I will check the settings of my Sony A7r iii.
did you figure out what is going on with these white stripes in the top corners? I have found similar on some of my photos. Both taken one after another and it seems that only one has the stripes at the top

My Kase filters came in, and just like you, I’m sure, I couldn’t get it in at first. Rewatched the video, saw how they were feeling for the slot, tried it, and it slipped right in. Once you know how to do it, it goes in pretty easily. Even did a switch in the field from the 6 stop to the 10 stop and while not exactly super fast due to the handling of thin glass filters, it wasn’t too much different than switching out front filters.
I’ll post a couple quick test shots, but from quick evaluation on my iPad, the image degradation from them is pretty minimal. There might be a very slight softening at the edges at wide apertures, but let’s be honest...you aren’t going to be using these at wide apertures very much, and even then, it’s pretty minor from what I’m seeing. Stopped down, performance looks quite good...definitely good enough to keep these as my ND solution. No real visible color cast, even with the 10 stop. Also did one test shot with the 10 stop plus the polarizer with my Nisi S5, and sharpness looked good there too. Was a two minute exposure, so there’s a little more noise than usual, but it worked fine.

Results seem promising, but handling when out in the elements sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to me. One of the great things about having this zoom is that there is usually no need for me to take the lens off the camera the way there is with primes. That's a real bonus especially near moving water where I do most of my shooting.

I had my ND1000 Kase delivered today, went to fit it and it shattered obviously too much force applied, gutted, day off tomorrow and was planning on venturing out with it, ££££ down the drain ☹️

Wow....that sucks (and reminds me to not be heavy handed with mine).

I'm currently debating between this and the Sony 12-24mm.
f/2.8+weight vs. 12mm...I can't decide.
I haven't had an ultra wide zoom since I shot μ43 and enjoyed the tiny Olympus 9-18mm. Since then (2014?) though, I've only had primes: 12mm & 21mm Voigtlanders primarily.

But rightly so. Ever since their 14/1.8, and even more so after this more compact DN zoom, Sigma have pretty much set the new gold standard for the UWA segment in terms of IQ. The Sony 4/14-24 already questioned the old adage that IQ must degrade for UWA lenses (compared to WA), but the Sigma leaves no doubt.
Yeah, I figure I'll have to rent the 16-35mm GM at some point to compare, though the price for me makes it a bit of a non-starter. When you compare lens + polarizer, even with the $500 cost of the external filter holder plus filter, add $100 for an 82mm polarizer, the GM is still $500 more expensive.

Agreed. For me, however, the range of the GM is much more useful . I'll give up 14-15mm for 25-35mm, any day.

Yeah, everyone has different priorities on their needs in this range. Having a bit of extra reach is nice at times, though I also have other lenses that cover that range, so it's less of a need for my shooting.

Got mine from BH Photo on Monday, did a very unscientific centering test and I am pretty happy with mine! Every so slightly not perfect at 14mm @2.8...but really this is quite unnoticeable in any practical application. This would likely not even be noticed in Astro @2.8 in anything smaller than a 16x20 print at book-close viewing range.
Also got the Kase 10-Stop filter, and it took me about 4 minutes to figure it out. The 6 Stop is on back-order so who knows about that one.
I will have to take it out and give it a run this weekend. Overall, the build quality matches my Sigma 35 f1.2 Art DG DN (this one had an ever so slightly soft corner at f1.2 but was more of a field curvature issue than de-centering). I'm becoming very pleased with this new line built for E/L Mount.
I do wish the 14-24 also had a manual aperture ring. I hate changing aperture with the camera dial......
