My first backyard quick test shots with the new-to-me 600GM, under the harsh noon light, which was the only time I got today...

The difference in weight and handling of this lens compared to my previous Nikon 600E is quite noticeable indeed.

If I am not mistaken, all pictures, except the last one, are of Cassin's Kingbird flycatcher, and the last one is a Black Phoebe.

It is called cream-colored woodpecker although it looks more yellowish to me . It is a male going by the red check though…

Those images look great, especially considering the ISO setting for them, K! I have not seen any nesting hummers in real life, BTW.
