Yes that's me in the red jacket and yes I took all photos I've posted except the one of myself..
Most of the surf photos are just the local guys having fun, I did checkout the surf one morning at Ventura Harbor Beach and came upon a contest by chance.

Nice low level shots! Did you get in the water to get these? I heard that there are currently only dozens of ducks at Oakley Street? I will get a bag of corn to head over there soon.
Probably closer to 100 give or take. I'm the guy in the Simms waders when I am there and always shooting at water level. Not much for the corn though. Too tough to isolate them when they are in a frenzy. I like them settled down and just cruising slowly in singles or pairs. The light was horrendous yesterday and today but the water was dead calm which I can work with. Too many times I have been there when it's wave after wave and the images look like crap
