Question for you A1 owners (including A1 + 600/f4 owners).
I was hoping to include this in a post over on Nature&Wildlife ("contortionists"), but it has too much motion blur & the focus is not on the eye.
Here's the question: this was with the A9 +200-600 + 1.4 TC at f9 and 1/800 s (3200 iso). The image is not cropped (the bird was close for once!). I had the focus on the perched bird in the previous frames on the back and head.
The image might have worked if I had twice the shutter speed, but clearly the focus stuck on the back of the bird, so even then it might not have succeeded.
So the question is: would an A1 have been able to follow the eye even with this rapid motion ?? Remember it's the 200-600 and not the 600/4, which I assume can focus faster & might have a better chance at images like these. Any input from the experts here would be interesting to know!

Nice ones! I watched that nest for years when I lived close by in Pt. Richmond. I had a buddy who lived on a houseboat in the marina at the end of the road as a matter of fact. Amazing how every year there are more and more nests out there. I hope they don't ruin it with all the proposed development.

While I was at this nest, I saw several other Osprey cruising the area so there are likely other nests close by in that section of the bay. It seems that the local Osprey population is doing well.
