Taken at a cliff face rising above the Napo River in the Amazon Basin of Ecuador - these parrots/parakeets, there could be 7 species, eat clay that would help them eat/digest toxic food. This is one of the two locations in this region; the other one is inside the rainforest where the lighting conditions are really bad.
Still, a high shutter speed was necessary to get sharp images due to the boat movement.
Great pic handheld ? Seems more difficult to get sharp images with A1 with 1.4x I wonder if slowing the fps would allow better in camera stabilization. At 30fps not much time for camera to do anything. I followed you on Flickr

Here is an image from the other clay outcrop. These parrots eat the clay to combat the toxins in their food. This one is really in the middle of the jungle after a hike of some 30 minutes. Since the camera was on the tripod, I played with lowering the shutter speed to get some blurred wings mixed in with sharp parrots...
