Looks like you picked up a bit of snow...we have lots with temp going down to -24 tonight.
We have about 6 inches on the ground now, and it's still snowing. A lot of our roads on the island are closed and we're getting some unseasonably cold weather too. Nothing like you guys are getting, but all of our water systems are above ground here... but the biggest challenge right now is keeping the hummingbird feeders thawed out.

From last year when I thought that the days of this burrowing owl site were numbered. I got only 25 of so keepers for the entire year but fortunately, they made a come back this year. My keeper number has increased many folds...

This is a junco. There are different phases of color on them. I'm not well versed in the phases though so that is as much as I can contribute the the ID.

The last one is a hummingbird. I had inadvertently copied and pasted the Junco title from the third photo.

Kingfishers has been an ongoing vice for years, can not go pasta chance for a shot even with thousands already taken. Sadly we only get 2 species around the Sydney area.

If you look in Merlin Bird ID and search “Junco” you will see that the 7th photo is identical to the one posted here. Looks like my comment was sent after a "correction" in the original post

Been an ongoing obsession of mine since around 2014 when I found a semi tame Azure in a local reserve, normally shy birds but this one would let me right in close without hassle....many thousands of shots has followed over the years.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. It's taken me some time to muster the courage to share when there are so many wonderfully talented photographers here on FM. I picked up bird photography this year as a way to get out of the house during the extended WFH situation.
