Did another 4:30am wakeup to get to the beach to shoot the plovers. Got there and the fog did not burn off so it was dark and visibility was pretty poor. Didn't see as many plovers or chicks, I'm hoping it wasn't because of the really high tide last night that seemed to flood a portion of the nesting ground.
After looking for the plovers we went to another spot in the refuge and out of the bush comes a young rabbit, right towards us. I really thought it was going to hop into our arms. About 10s later what I believe was an American Mink comes out chasing after it, they disappear for a bit and the rabbit comes back the same way... but I think the rabbit ran to it's den because the Fisher pops up out a second (didn't get a shot) with an even younger rabbit in it's jaws.
If someone has a more certain idea on the Mink let me know. At first I thought it could have been a fisher (female because of size) but after getting home and looking at the photos I believe it's an American Mink. I have another photos of a little white patch on its chin which always says Mink.

I’ve been shooting dragonflies for the past hour in my yard but they never seem to land on nice perches with clean backgrounds like yours do. I’ll keep trying because the sun is too strong to shoot birds right now.
