Wow what a great set. You brought a couple different sets of gear it looks like. Any thoughts on the 5DIV vs the 1DX? I would think that for perched birds, the 5DIV would offer more resolution and potential for cropping, but everybody always raves about the 1D AF. Of course all these images look great, so evidently they both work fine.

thanks erielake. These were a first for me as well. These looked so ancient and prehistoric that one can tell for sure that the birds are direct descendants of the dinosaurs.
