Good Grief! Is Orange County and the surrounding area the Burrowing Owl capital of North America? I just keep seeing all these wonderful shots. Guess I am jealous. I live in the mountains of Arizona 100 miles north of Phoenix. I would think they would be found in this area. But I keep striking out. I guess I don't understand their preferred habitat or where to look.

Your images are terrific as are those of Fred Amico who also a concurrent post running. Love your images.
