Btw, i just found a new (the person had received it with the Lumix S5) Sigma 45mm DG DN lens at half the price of a new one. Thanks for the advice about the lens, looking forward to receiving it next week!
I looks like a great little gem and I really hope Sigma will introduce more of these, a 35mm for example and maybe a classic 24 would be awesome.
Beautiful colors and clarity in those shots Graham, number three is my favorite.
I haven't had an ultra wide angle since 2009 or so when I sold my Sigma 10-20 for APS-C and my Nikon D80. Been wanting one all these 10+ years but couldn't afford the Nikon 14-24 when it got out and then switched to m43 where I never wanted to invest in ultra wides due to excessive distortion that needed too software correction.
Got the S1R a couple of weeks ago now and this past week I pulled the trigger on the Sigma 14-24 DG DN ART. What an amazing lens!
Though I had forgotten how difficult it is finding good use for all the ultra wide angle. It's very difficult finding a clear enough space for it.
Trying it out for some landscapes now but looking forward to coming back to Copenhagen with it in order to shoot some of the fantastic architecture there which is what I really love with ultra wides.
Love finally having an ultra wide again, there are so many shots I've wanted to do for so many years in several locations that I haven't been able to. Rather, my vision has been with super wides and the perspective that gives, 24mm just hasn't been enough for what I've wanted.
I have to say, the Sigma 14-14 DG DN ART is possibly the best lens I've used together with the m43 Panasonic Leica 42,5mm Nocticron.
Long exposure shot of the train station in Malmo Sweden. 10 stop rear ND filter from Kase.

In a way it's been "10 years in the making". Not really, but the station was built in 2009/2010. I've been wanting a super wide shot of it ever since which is why it's one of the first places I visited now when I got the 14-24.
Got a bunch of other shots I wanna do, specially in Copenhagen Denmark but the bridge between Sweden and Denmark was closed last week again due to a surge in Covid19 cases. We'll see when I get the chance

Beautiful scene. I'd love to be the guy out there on the boat with a fishing pole in hand
Thank you Micheal. That was taken at the Burke lake in Northern Virginia. It's a pretty quiet lake and the weather was cloudy all day yesterday but the sun came out very late in the afternoon when I went for a walk around the lake. Here is another one taken at the lake side.
Just received a Summicron SL 50mm APO. I think this is the beginning of a wonderful relationship
Image from DNG, exported/resized to JPG no adjustments in Lightroom.
I've had the camera for a couple of weeks now and WOW does it grow on me, I keep being surprised at the detail ever time I look at a file. Of course, it's much thanks to wonderful lenses for the system.
