Just picked up another 90-280 and playing around with some settings for wildlife/action. This one was just field and AF-S. AF-C kept trying to focus on trees in the background. But this Chickadee was tiny. I could've actually stopped it down a little. Would love to see a focus limiter option for this lens.

I know it was posted some time ago but as far as the focusing goes and the wish for a focus limiter, have you tried setting up two custom buttons for near focusing priority and far focus priority on the camera if possible on the SL2? I know the S1 and S1R has it and with my S1R it usually works quite well.
