I don’t think so. You made a blanket statement. I responded based on my experience with the cameras that are currently available, which is most of them.
I currently own the GFX100S. And in 135 format cameras I have the SL, SL2, S1R, S1, Z7, A7R2, A7R3, A9, plus various M cameras. I don’t own but have used the A1, A9II, A7R4 and R5.
Of those the GFX 100S is competitive with most of them in AFS (some lens dependancy though). In AFC. The A9, A9II, R5 and A7R4 are better. The rest are close. A couple (SL2, S1R, S1) aren’t as reliable.
I think “glacial” is a poor description of the AF of the GFX100s but pretty accurate for the GFX50S/R.

One thing for sure: answering "Fanboy fantasies are fine" to someone because he disagrees with you about some camera AF speed is NOT correct
Interesting read! This guy cycles through how many systems buying, returning, selling, rebuying etc. Ha Ha. But very helpful to read why and how he applies his decisions based upon his use-case. For those of us on the outside looking in, particualry with the very interesting GFX 100S, a interesting real world reference.

Nor is trolling threads about other camera brands just to "correct" other people's observations about your favourite camera...
A few with my SL (typ 601) and the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS. This isn't the finest 100-400 I've ever shot, but, it's a really good lens at an unbelievable price.
As a shooter who rarely uses this FL, this lens is perfect for me because I don't have a huge chunk of my "gear budget" locked into it. As long as you understand it's a slow aperture lens and use it accordingly, it's a great piece of kit that provides excellent performance.

Cheers all and Happy Labor Day to those in the States!
Agreed! It's a great lens for the price. It's smaller than most 100-400's as well, so good for travel.

lol, I didn't know you guys had Labor Dag in Canada the same weekend. We're headed up to Vancouver for the 1st time in 2 years next weekend. 👍🏻
Nice! Have a great trip. We're looking forward to the US opening up to us... Hopefully it won't be too much longer
