Still trying to decide if the flexibility of the S1R will win out over the sheer quality of the Fuji GFX for landscape shooting...
I'm kind of sort of in the same boat. I really like my S1 a lot and have been thinking of picking up a used S1R to pair with it but have also been waiting to see about the GFX 50SII which is supposed to retail for around $4000. If the AF isn't great then I will probably just save the money and go with the S1R but I am super curious about trying out the GFX maybe paired with the 110 f2 for my portraiture. I guess it all depends on how the crypto market does

I really like the ergonomcis of the S series, and there are a lot more lenses available than for the Fuji GFX, but one thing making me pause is that very few camera stores here are stocking any Panasonic S gear now - everything is special order only.
The Fuji GFX is pretty much limited to landscape shooting only with its narrow range of lenses and glacially slow AF, but at least the quality is great and you can actually find most things in stock if you need them (so far).

The AF on the 100s is anything but glacially slow. The 110mm F2 is fast, accurate and reliable with AF-C and I've never had any probelms tracking eyes with it. Your mileage may vary of course but I've seen the 100s at the Olympics for events and I wouldn't hesitate shooting it for weddings/concerts etc as long as you can live with the increased file size. The difference in usable ISO between the 100s and the S1R is like night and day and then you can look at things like color depth etc...

The AF speed on the GFX 100S is pretty fast - for a medium format camera. Unfortunately, pretty well any current camera with a full frame sensor blows it out of the water...
I've shot with the Sony a7r3, a9ii, Fuji X-Pro2, XT-3, Leica SL and SL2-S. It's as good as or better than everything but the a9ii and good enough for most use cases. It's my primary work camera and I have no issues with the AF. I don't think it's "blown out of the water" by any full frame camera by any means.

Fanboy fantasies are fine, but I plan to make my decision based on further actual use of the cameras.
After seeing Fred's recent pics with the SL 50 Summilux, I started jones-ing for it again. Just received one off the boards here...OMG, it's such a beast, my first few clicks, I just couldn't stop it down

For the 51MP sensor camera you are correct. For the 102MP sensors, he is correct.

Since he has absolutely no idea what I plan to use the cameras for, or what lenses I'm using, it's a bit presumptuous to assume he's correct, isn't it?
