Interesting comment Bruce.
Could you please explain the color differences between the two cameras (Z6 vs Z7)?
Just curious (I do not plan to buy a Z7 )
Thanx.

Riccardo,... my assessment of color might apply to the Z7, but I forgot to include the following... "at high ISO's."
I have been amazed by the smooth transition of subtle colors in the sky and water at ISO 6400. At this iso, noise often creates some undesired patterns as does the use of contrast and clarity sliders. I rarely see artifacts when I process my Z6 files aggressively.
Sunrise at Moraine Lake. Z6 + 14-30 & 24-70 2.8S. I don't think I'll see the Rockwall this empty during summer months ever again. Parking space? No problem.
I'm afraid to try out the 24-70/2.8S. Maybe down the road a bit. I picked up my usual three... 35/50/85 and am happy with all of them. I have a bunch of F mount glass and am delighted by how nice these three Z primes look in comparison. My plan is to spend some time with these and then go wider although I have some MF AIS lenses kicking about if I need something in the interim.

Don't try the 20/1.8S either.
The Z6 is made for those beautiful Nikkor MF-lenses.

I've been tempted already. :-) After selling my Zeiss 18mm (used on the A7R and GXR), a lens I loved, I've really missed having the wider end.
In the meantime, there's a 20/2.8 AI-s sitting on a friend's shelf that might end up in my bag for a trial run real soon now.
I might not shoot much with my 50/1.4 (although it is more compact) and 85/2 AI-s though... as I sure love these new Z lenses, but the 135/2 heavy as it is will be fun to bring out from time to time.
