I'm don't typically take pictures of wildlife, but I love Keas and this was a special experience. There were about 12-15 of them, probably more in the trees, and I spent about 2 hours observing them. Initially there were other tourists at the spot and the Kea did their usual thing investigating the cars. But over time everyone except 2 other people left and the Kea started interacting more with each other and started flying through the valley - just magical to experience.
First one taken with the Z7 and 24-200mm, the rest with the Zf and 70-180mm f2.8.
Full size on flickr and imo, these look better on a bigger screen

Milford Sound is a very rainy place. The mean annual rainfall in Milford Sound is around 6,800mm (yes, 6.8mts of rain!) or 268 inches! It rains there on average 182 days a year so, on average every second day it rains! Over the course of 24 hours, 250mm (10 inches) of rain can fall in the area.

Recently testing the Tamron 28-300mm f/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD, which is currently available only for Sony E-mount. I'm using it on a Z8 via a Megadap adapter.
It's an impressive lens for a superzoom. My favourite aspects are the rapid autofocus, almost 100% hit rate, excellent handling and weight for such a versatile range and the close focusing capability.
That said, optically I think it's better suited to 24MP bodies. Even so, it's a great "f/8 and be there" lens for summer shooting.
Been having way too much fun with the little Zfc, enough that I'm wondering if I should keep my Z5ii, or just trade it for more glass and run the Zfc+Z7 combo. Yeah, the Z5ii is a much better camera, but the camera you actually grab beats the one sitting on the shelf.
