A lockdown walk with my dog in the neighbourly woods Curious how much of an improvement the Z6 II would be for these kind of shots...bigger buffer would definitely help, but I'll wait to see how AF stacks up...if it's a significant improvement I might get it.
I heard her coming up behind me for these two shots...luckily the focus was quick enough to grab it...it's the first big airborne photo of her All engines go by luftwalk, on Flickr
The photo just after the first one... Prepare for landing by luftwalk, on Flickr
A bit further up I had her run towards me since the scenery was great... Fall with Ajka by luftwalk, on Flickr
And at the end a portrait of her being "done" Moment of rest by luftwalk, on Flickr
The two things I'd like to see improved in the Z6 II would be initial focus and lock-on and better subject tracking...although I am asking the camera to keep up with a brown dog amidst brown leaves

These are really great!... It looks like you were using your 300mm f/2.8, it appears that your Z works well with that lens.

Thanks for the kind words, the 300/2.8 is the AF-S II version (pre VR) and it's performing beautifully on the Z6...faster focusing than the 70-200/2.8 VR2 which I also own. The shady woods really call for the f2.8 aperture, otherwise I'd be happy to try the 300/4 PF, but I'm already pushing ISO in these shots
Walk on the former island of Marken, there is now a dike (since 1957) to the island. It is one large open-air museum and very touristy. Now there was hardly anyone there and almost everything was closed.

Nicely done, Eric. I really like these. I bet this fella was happy too.
That's on heckuva portrait lens, however I use it on birds all the time.

Yes it was my nephew. It was his birthday last weekend and I said I could take picture of him with his new wrangler dresshirt he receive as a present. He didn't forgot about it lol! He asked me last friday if I was doing something saturday. I gladly accepted because he is a super nice kid. I usually dont use the 600mm for portrait because you need walkie talkie to give instruction. He was really happy about the pictures I took and he said he was lucky to have a uncle photographer like me! 😀
