So, who's actually using and liking my profile/presets combo and finding a good improvement over adobe profiles? I need some feedback haha.
Using them and definitely liking them a lot, Sony's JPEG profiles in ACR are way too yellow in comparison, it's quite apparent.
For now the only modification I've applied is to actually made the greens a bit more yellow (but not as much as the Sony profiles) because I find them a tad too blueish for my tastes.
I've been trying these profiles too (A9, A7III). I also have a Canon EOS R so it's easy to compare.
They are certainly an improvement.
In flat conditions these profiles can get you very close, but when the sun is out the differences are still quite big. The sony files just don't have the warmth of the Eos R files in the highlights. It really depends on the kind of lighting conditions. The R consistently gives me more pleasing colors. (That's mostly the reason why I'm still using one. )
Thank you for your comments.
I've been doing more, and one that works quite good for tungsten, but of course it will never be perfect.
Some people thing that shooting raw you can have whatever color you want but I'm my experience it's not possible and canon colors are better to my , even in raw.
I know it's inevitable I'll move back to canon, but I'm trying to wait until there's an ibis model and the samyang 85 fe is available in the rf mount (I love the lens).
I'm trying do d/l these using the various links posted, but only finding the xmp files. Can you re-link to the dcp files for A7III?
Appreciate the work!
Hi!
Any chance, you can share the profiles for the Sony A9, please?
I really like the technical possibilities on Sony, but regarding image quality and colors, i'm sooo frustrated.
I was working now on old raws from 2015 made on Canon 5D Mark III a it is pure joy to work on them.
Hopefully your profile can make image editing from Sony more pleasure to me ...
Thanks in advance!
