Oh wow I didn’t know about that at all. That program is so slow, even with my high end PC, but it works and that’s what matters. Big thanks!
Maybe Sony should spend some time with the RAW converter developers like Adobe and Phase One and help them actually add the options for their picture profiles and creative styles. Or at least for Capture One, since they have that supposed "partnership" together.
I have tried it a few times and I love the skin tones! That said, I do find it extremely limiting to surrender control of the curves in LR or Camera Raw. I assume there is no way to make this work with just a DCP profile? This is the only finished shot I have used it on and I wound up using it for skin color only using masks in PS and the color blending mode. I did everything else independently. Thanks for the hard work!

I'm using it. Honestly I don't know how I lived before that's so much better now!

Damn I missed it thank you! Very much appreciated!
It's a copy paste of a7r3 profile that works with r2 files or a bit different modifications?
Those are actually the original versions of the preset/profile. I had a a7r2 before and I started making them for that camera. The rest of the cameras are ports of the a7r2, until I started basing on the a73...

In photoshop (not in lightroom) you can make a profile from the preset/profile combo pressing the option key (alt in windows) and the button to create a new preset (you need to have selected the preset beforehand). This way you can create one of these new "enhanced profiles", BUT:
- The camera calibration sliders are not taken into account, so you still need a new preset with these enhanced profile created and manually introduce the camera calibration values.
- The original profile still needs to stay installed.
The good thing is that you'll start from clean curves and HSL panels.
Thanks! I will have to try this. It will create a profile that I can use in LR?

I've made 2 enhanced profiles for testing already, I think they look very good. Only for a73, but you can change the camera model restriction just opening the xmp with the notebook app or something I think.
The normal one internally uses the 3.1 profile (so high contrast, more finished look, more 3dpop), and the low one uses the 2edit profile (less contrast, maybe more suitable as a base).
They're made without using the camera calibration sliders, so they just work only with the profiles.
Also, I find your profile very good for natural light, especially outdoors. Do you have any sort of a profile for artificial light? Colors seems to be very off when I shoot indoors.

The last link with the "enhanced profiles" is only for a73, but you can try and modify the file in the notepad, look for "Sony ilce-7m3" and change it for "Sony ilce-7r2", save and check if it works.
I made a couple more of this enhanced profiles for artificial light, I'll post them tomorrow, but you can just use some of the presets in the previous folders. There are many presets, some of them are calibrated for artificial lights and some others for daylight, try them and see which ones you like depending on the situation...

Hmm will that work for the A7RII?

If you have one of the new versions, there should be a "+" button in the profile list so you can quickly add the dcp profile that way. Otherwise, copy and paste the file in the camera raw/camera profiles folder (that's in a different route depending on whether you're using Mac or Windows, Google it).

Sorry, but how do I load the dcp file in adobe camera raw? thanks.
