My girls.
We've been told the dog has cancer and has 2 weeks to 2 months to be with us.
My wife wanted to get a few photos with her before she passes.
Nothing great, but I know my wife will have this photo for as long as she lives.

Sorry to hear this 💔
Thanks.
It's going to be tough ... again.
We've had a dog for every minute we've been in the house, 36 years, I think we're going to take a break for a while.
Most of that time, we have had two dogs. The older dog would train in the younger/newer one.
But as I've gotten older, these loses have been hitting me harder.
The one before this one absolutely broke my heart, and I feel this one is going to do the same.

They can be just like or actually are family members. I am sorry to hear that, Dave...

While staying in a cabin in the Redwoods, I was looking out the window one morning and saw this fascinating old man walking his dog past our cabin. I dashed outside and struck up a conversation and eventually asked if I could take his picture. He graciously agreed.

I posted the color version of this image in another thread, but the black and white seems to fit here. Taken at my nephew’s wedding. I wasn’t the photographer, but always carry my camera along.

I am mostly a sports shooter but I do a little portrait work. All of these are family and friends..
I hesitate to post because of the body of work here by pros, but here goes.

There is a lot of noteworthy work on this thread, but that last photo is just stunning! The unbridled glee and joy just jumps off the screen. Great job! Not to start a war, but I also detect a little "3D POP".

Thanks. She can be so full of joy!
I had just upgraded my rarely used lighting and was giving it a go. A lighting expert I am not.
