I love that. I want to go put together an outfit like that just to find a good way to photograph it.
Vinny, you should experience the Mask Carnival in Venice, at least once! It is so wonderfully unique and you will have a blast taking pictures the whole day and even in the evening.
Your images of your daughter are superb and they have that fancy studio feel to them. Of course, she is super cute!

Don't stop!
A few from two days ago with two friends. It was raining, so I had the umbrella in one hand and the camera in the other. These are the kind of situations where I'm so glad I still have the Sony. With the Canon, all pictures would have been blurred or shot at much higher ISOs.
Please comment on my colors, you all know it's my obsession

I am glad to see that this thread is alive and well. Great images everyone and please post some more.
This was captured in Laguna Beach last month...
I love that one Joshua, the skintones look beautiful.
I'm curious, is this a paid job? Is the girl deciding the outfit? I love those transparent clothes you show in the pictures and I'm curious whether the pictures are just for the models, or a kind of fashion brand, etc.
Here another one of Janesa with the red umbrella. I have so many nice shots from that day

Thank you very much, Juanma! The girl ended up buying the outfit and indeed a lot images from that session show her in that outfit that did make her look good. The session was done through an organizer that secures the permit for the venue (or pays the rent at certain venues). Then she hires make-up artists, provides wardrobes, refreshments, etc. The models and photographers, I am not the only one there, BTW, do not get a penny from the event. Actually, the photographers ended up paying for the expenses. The models get the images. I am pretty sure that there is money left over for the organizer but we care less. Let me tell you that it was a pain to do. I would rather show up at the location and start shooting. Both the models and photographers, if they like each others’s trade, can schedule a subsequent session on their own. Again, there is no money is exchanged, at least, it was in my cases. I did it a few times like that.
I enjoy the images you posted of Janesa, with and without her companion.

Wow, so nice! I'd love to go to one of those events. Looks like the Kando thing organised by Sony which a lot of people went. It must be super fun shooting there, but it's true if you need to help organising is not that fun, haha. Also male models or only women?

I would say more female models but I have seen some male models and in that case, they pose mostly together with some female models. If you go back to the first page of this thread, there is a couple in Thai outfit I posted there, that’s one of those events but that one was done in a studio as you can tell.

That’s the daughter of the queen . I didn’t think about that until you brought it up. Thank you!
I thought it's intentional, the choice of dress, the pose, the legs hidden in the water suggesting a tail down there under the surface.... it all made perfect sense to me. Or maybe I'm too much into sirens lol

Sony 35/1.4 + A7rii. I love the falloff this lens gives, and her eyelashes at 1.4 are so crisp. My preferred portrait session - chasing her through wildflowers.
