I don't see this lens selling all that well.
No OSS.
Extending focus
No function buttons, no focus limiter.
Too close in FL to the Sony, a 150mm would have been nice..
Then Tokina AF tech is not all that great, from other Tokina FiRIN examples...
Macro is a niche as it is, the only thing that this lens has going for it is price and that is if IQ is up to snuff.

The sample photos are not very conclusive, judging by them I’m inclined to think that this is more like an AF replacement of the “Bokina” (Tokina AT-X 90mm) than a competitor to the Sony 90mm. I.e. possibly it has nice bokeh but is not that sharp / well corrected. We need more pics.

I checked this lens out at Tokina’s web site. The optics seem to be the same as the Tokina 100/2.8 DSLR lens, the lens optical layout as well as the MTF graphs are identical. The lens extends when focusing close, yilding a shorter working distance at 1:1 magnification than the Sony 90/2.8.
Conclusion, this is the Tokina 100/2.8 AT-X AF macro DSLR lens with a bolted on adapter to work on Sony FE.

The marvelous Sony 90 G sells for around $750 used here on the B&S board, if I were in the market for an AF macro lens in this FL, I would get the Sony. I already have one.

Looks like makers aren't interested in making moderately fast, nice primes a la Minolta 200 2.8 anymore. Since macros are probably an even greater niche market, we probably won't get to see any updated 150/180/200mm macro lenses any time soon. Updated versions of the two 200mm AF Minolta's would be oh so nice, though.

Not sure how it works elsewhere but here, if you're a business, buying 2nd hand without an official invoice (such as from a store) is problematic and not tax deductible. As a business buying 2nd hand gear is not a great idea anyway to be frank. If we're talking about new prices, this is just a drop more than the Sigma 70mm ART Macro and another option for those who want to keep significantly under the $1000 mark in native mount or are not excited about playing the Sony lens lottery.

Paypal receipt works just fine for my accountant when buying used gear. But I'm in the US.

Should be nice if it's anything like their older 100mm macro. Had one for my last Nikon kit and not only was it built like a tank, but it was razor sharp at all apertures. Good value to at ~$380 new.
At this point though it's a bit late for me as I bought the Sony 90mm 6 months ago. Don't really see a need to switch now, but I would've given it serious thought if it were available last year.
I hope they (or Tamron) make a 180mm macro, now that I'd buy for sure to pair with the Sony.

The Sony is a great lens but since I am already using Canon lenses, I went with the 100mm f2.8L at half the price. Also, like the Sony but unlike the Tokina, it focuses internally.

Apparently many people think that because the internal lens design appears the same (or very, very similar) that it literally is just the old 100mm macro for DSLRs, just repackaged.
*Edit* just remembered @bjornthun in this thread already made that conclusion

Not excited at all since I never use AF in the first place when taking close-up or macro shots. I am using with adapter the following older macro lenses instead which deliver everything I need on my A7R (not mentioning lenses with extension tubes):
+ Sigma 105/2.8 EX DG macro EF lens
+ Canon 100/2.8 EF macro lens
+ Canon MP-E 65/2.8 EF macro lens
+ Canon 50/3.5 macro FD lens
