is there anyone here with the 10-25mm? noobie G9 user here, looking for the ultimate video lens, and this looks to be it....... hard to find reviews on that lens, doesnt seem very desirable, but it seems truly unique to me and a big reason why I got this camera....

You might get more answers to your question by asking on the main board.

No experience with it although I am considering it. Like Galenapass said, might be more answers on the main board or perhaps over at DPreview or the Panasonic G9 Facebook group or Panasonic GH facebook group?
Having said that, all the reviews I've seen about it have said it's superb and they've all been quite excited. Looks like an amazing lens both for stills and video.
How come you're having a hard time finding reviews?

just looking for more AF reviews in low light, as I'm too lazy to learn the GH5 style MF. I got the G9 because of the best AF out of any M43 body, however in low light, the 12-32 really struggles. Hoping that it's due to the slow 3.5 aperture, and that 1.7 will improve this. I a FF setup will ever give me stabilization on par with M43, and a 20-50mm f2.8 FF lens seems improbable, hence the exploration. Really digging the body so far, very interesting design.

I'm amazed at how well the animal detect feature works on the G9 - it immediately recognized this bird amongst all the foreground and background mess and drew a green box around it... and the focus is spot-on.

Ps @molson I agree, the animal detect really surprised me, it works so well! Heck, it even picked out the buts of some ducks eating under water when I used it this weekend and indeed, the focus is just spot on. Also tried it with some smaller birds in trees similar to your shots and it just works. Only problem is my shots didn't turn out as nice as yours
Also had the chance to try the 50-200 from a friend this weekend as well as the 200F2.8 and I was pretty blown away by both lenses. I had high expectations on the 200F2.8 and they were met, both with and without TC 1.4 but the 50-200 really surprised me. I knew it was gonna be good but not THAT good, it was clearly on par with my Oly 40-150 Pro.

I took the G9 and the Leica trinity on a trekking trip in Patagonia. I was really pleased with the weight to performance ratio of this kit. Unfortunately our trip got cut off due to the corona virus. I will post some pictures once I’m back home. Sitting in the plane for our last leg back to Frankfurt atm.

Very much looking forward to it Roshisan. I'm sorry to hear the trip was cut short but the important thing is to get home safe!

Travel safe my friend. Let us know when you get back.

Thank you for your good wishes. We got back home almost 1 week ago but as a pharmacist I got dropped right back into a huge pile of work producing hand disinfectant and providing people with their medications. It’s been a crazy week.
Maybe I’ll be able to edit and share some pictures tomorrow.
