Not only the price but the weight savings too. It's only about 190g heavier than the FE 85/1.8 and we are talking about a 85mm f/1.4! The 85/1.4 GM is ~260g heavier..
uh... yeah, if samples keep looking good and AF speed is adequate, my order will go in next week.

I have the batis 85 which I'm still going to keep but I'm probably still going to get the samyang. I have had good luck with thier lenses. My 35 and 50 are both good. However I am going to wait till the samyang has one of those 100-200$ off specials thier notorious for which should be no later than Christmas.

Little CA at 1.4 but seems to go away at 1.8. I am a little out of focus on the 1.8 one though . Had spot at medium. read something else. But I will test for this tomorrow

Last test for now. Light was a little flat so we will see better on Big Bronco. But what I see here besides where I focused even the edges look really good starting at 2.8. My lens looks centered . But will check that again

I really like the Samyang 85/1.4 FE and may even consider trying their 35/1.4 FE again with firmware 3. I've tested it with firmware 2 and AF was not very reliable. It has higher resolution at mid-field compared to the Sony 35/1.4 ZA and only really loses at MFD while rendering is quite similar. In fact the Samyang 35/1.4 shows less onion ring pattern in the specular highlights.

Yea I had my issues with the 35 1.4 with accuracy in AF. Kept pulsing but maybe worth another shot at it. The 50 I had a bad lens period. It went back

What I find impressive here is i focused on that peak sticking out but my left and right side look to be pretty darn good and I am not focused there and it only gets even better. Will see how this all looks on Big Bronco but this is darn good for not being focused on either side
