Do I miss my A7R3 with 70-200 GM?
No, I don't miss that 200mm reach. I do miss 280mm from my 1.4x teleconverter, but I have access to the whole track and can position myself wherever I want.

But I do however feel that I messed up somewhere.
I only shoot this previously on A7R3 with 70-200 GM. This time I used A7RIV with 135 GM.
I did not get tack sharp photos as I hoped. I turned off SteadyShot and 135 doesn't have panning mode. I did get more keepers, but I miss that "perfect photo"...Show more →

Waiting to see if Sigma replies with a similar DG DN version.

If it is as good as their 85 f/1.4 DG DN, it will give the GMaster a run for it's (quite a bit more) money.

I've been watching the price for about 8 months (since I started the move over to Sony) and it hasn't budged from its list price at all.

There is a reason why the 135GM doesn't turn op on secondhand sell-boards. I've been in your position, waiting for a good price / deal on this lens.
After waiting 18 months I've bought a open-box deal for close to full retail price. Never looked back since, and now know I've should have bought it asap

That speaks a lot of it's credibility.

Btw, I read in an another forum that someone got it for around $1670 during the last summer sale through B&H. So there wasn't any sale as such? If so, then not worth waiting.

Also, seems like a DG DN version of Sigma135 is expected soon. Not sure if that would be comparable to GM.
