See my blog story for details. This is from that wonderful snowstorm two weeks ago that hit southern Utah. Snow lasted just one day but it was awesome for 24 hours.

Thank you each for enjoying the different perspective with this shot. I put plenty of time into squeezing behind the icicles and then shooting with many focus points so I could create this unique but also very real view of Emerald Pools.

@Daniel: the depth of field was an issue I anticipated when I was shooting. I got really close with a wide-angel lens to those icicles nearest the lens at the left. I took photos focused on three different icicles (far left, middle and right) to get these all sharp. I then took a photo focused on the canyon wall in the background.
These were then blended with masking in photoshop to have a photo that is sharp from front to back. Of course a tripod was necessary to keep the composition identical for all 4 frames I used here.
