I asked from eBay vendor ecbuyonline2008 about their product "7artisans 28mm F/1.4 Lens For Sony E Mount A7 A7II A7R A7RII A7S NEX NO Adapter". They confirmed that this it's the "FE plus" version.
Yes, we will send a "FE plus" version, if you will use it in Sony camera, and lens will come with the text on it.
We didn't get the "FE plus" pictures from 7artisans, when we have it, we will revise :-)
BTW anyone gets a Sony version here in the states and wants me to test it against my version . I would be happy to throw it on Big Bronco and test it. I also removed the rangefinder adjustment coupling as that lightens the load a little. Next week I’m traveling with it so hope to get some images to post
Also if you see a direct sale link to the Sony version please post. I know a few folks are waiting to buy it. Truth be told this is just about the only 28mm worth getting

My offer also still stands for those living in Germany (or close to it) and own the non-FE-plus version

I know some people may prefer the Sigma Art 28mm 1.4 or the Sony 28mm 2.0 as their 28mm.
But my subjective personal opinion is the same as yours.
I decided to sell my setup as I need to raise some money for personal reasons. I’ll post it in the BS board but I’ll include the PCX 5000 and the Hawks adapter as well

Hi Guy,
Sorry to hear that. I hope that all of your medical issues are solved with as little issue, problem, and expense as possible.

No, he only knows about online shops on TaoBao where it is a pain to order when you are from the western world...
Today I received a Leica version from a reader/FMer (thanks again!), but unfortunately the centering quality
was not good enough for me to be comfortable with publishing the results of that comparison.
Bastian, will you be comparing it to the 28 Summilux?

When we put aside the small issue that I don't have the 5.900 € Summilux 28mm 1.4 available
I see little reason to do so, as the Leica lens is not optimized for the Sony filterstack.
Furthermore I am not sure who that comparison would be helping.
Outcome a) is that the 5.900€ lens is in some ways better than the 460€ lens. No one will be surprised.
Outcome b) is that the 460€ lens is in some ways better than the 5.900€ lens. If I say anything like that I will get lots of hate and troll comments from Leica fanboys.
I have already been there with my Leica Summilux-M 35mm 1.4 FLE Asph review...

Don’t fear the trolls! But is the 7a 28/1.4 M mount optimized for Sony filter stack? Not Leica filter stack?
Who would the review help? The review would help me as I’d possibly sell my 28 Lux and get a 7A if it’s that good, or at least just add it to my bag as a out-and-about, durable alternative.

There are two versions of the 7A 1,4/28 - one optimised for M mount and one (FE plus version) optimised for Sony. The difference is in element spacing. The Sony version is in M mount, apparently so it can be used in adapters with all mirrorless cameras, which 7A think have more in common with each other than the M filter stack.
As I was greatly surprised by this lens I tried getting in contact with the manufacturer and actually managed to win over the product designer/CEO for a short interview which has just been published: The Man behind the Lens: Li Qing (7artisans 28mm 1.4 FE+)
It contains some background information on the company, the adjustments for the E-mount version, the company's next lens, a 75mm f/1.25, and a few new samples from my recent trip to Venice taken with the 28mm.

You should buy one. See if it works for you. Honestly for the money it’s hard to beat
I know off topic but: Been using an S1r today with the 28 Lux, it’s incredible. Awesome wide open. I’ll post a comparison of it on the 7r3, m10-p, and Panny in the next few days. Really, all the Leica M lenses I’ve tried are shining on it. I’m sure this is what it feels like to use M lenses on the SL. If it weren’t for the S1r autofocus weakness I may have listed my Sony already. .
