As you can see the improvement is real. I also tried turning the filter on the other side but was the same.
I mounted it in a blank 52mm filter than just put the retaining ring back on. Which 1 filter does not cause vignetting. So Im good to go. There was adjustment on my Hawk adapter to hit infinity, so now it is set at the hard stop.
Thanks . I knew id figure this out. Now the question becomes does the Sony version eliminate using a PCX filter. At this point I see myself no reason to return and buy the Sony version. If F5.6 is good to the corners than that folks is fantastic.
Now if your buying than certainly get the Sony version as you may not have this with the corners. The good news we know there is a fix
Thanks for the test and samples images Guy!
The FE 24/1.4 GM has smoother rendering but I really like the 7Artisians contrast and colors.
The PCX front lens makes a noticeable difference off-axis. I also wondering if the FE Plus version performs similarly.
That is the question of the day if the Sony version is any better or match what the PCX does. I’ll keep this since it’s doing great at F5.6. It’s not a 24 but it does fit in that travel kit. Really like the punch from it
That’s a great question . It not actually listed that I know of on Amazon or Ebay. One member said he sent a email to them in his order to confirm it’s the Sony version. Maybe he will weigh in here.
I’ll look around see if I can find something. I’m thinking go through Amazon as you can email them within amazon

It's amazing that none of their Ebay listings show the FE Plus option!
If someone finds a link, please let us know.

No, he only knows about online shops on TaoBao where it is a pain to order when you are from the western world...
Today I received a Leica version from a reader/FMer (thanks again!), but unfortunately the centering quality
was not good enough for me to be comfortable with publishing the results of that comparison.
