I joined these boards a week or two ago - and am just getting the hang of the place. I still don't know the official rules or etiquette on photo posting - if there's a size limit most try to not exceed, or a cap to the number of photos posted in a single thread. So please feel free to let me know if I need to make any adjustments.
I'm a long-time and regular wildlife photo poster at DPreview, and have posted a few photos in the Wildlife & Nature forum here...some members mentioned the Sony board also has a fairly active wildlife posting history. I found this thread on birds and wildlife, and that's right up my alley - so to start out, I'm posting some shots that I had most recently posted in DPR.
The following photos were taken on both February 19th and February 25th, in and around my two local wetlands, Green Cay and Wakodahatchee. Activity is high this time of year - hundreds of nests and what I like to call 'BIF-palooza' - where at the end of the day before sunset, you can stand in one spot and shoot hundreds of birds in flight passing as close as 5 feet from you - with a dozen species or more all flying past. This is a mix of bird shots not in flight and BIFs - plus a turtle.
All shots here taken with the FE 200-600mm G OSS lens on the A6600, and posted at 2400 pixels on the long side if you view them in original size. I usually shoot each weekend when I'm not out of town, so I may post frequent weekly groups of shots like this, if it's acceptable.
A boat-tailed grackle, flying back and forth in front of me and calling out loudly - not sure if I was considered a potential danger, or a challenger for his mating dominance https://pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/173413775/original.jpg

This thread tends to be on the quieter side but that's no reason not to post here. The thread for the 200-600 lens has more participation as do the threads for the 100-400, A1 and 600GM if applicable. There is a Sony APS-C thread but it doesn't get as much use either.
Your images display fine on my screen, no complaints from me. It depends on the screen resolution of the viewer. I always post landscape orientation images at 1600 on the long side, portrait at 1080 on the long side so people don't have to scroll vertically to see the whole thing. That's just my preference.
Some people post images after each outing, some let the images trickle out. The choice is yours. I don't think there is a limit to the number of images in an image thread in the gear section. You might ruffle a few feathers if you post too many images in one post in the nature and wildlife section though.
