Here's another set of mating burrowing owls. I was very fortunate to have an actively courting pair nearby my rental property last year. For 5 consecutive evenings this pair came out to display this fascinating courtship behavior. This series was closer, as I only used the 600 ii with no teleconverters. I have other day's series with both 1.4x and 2x teleconverters depending on their location, as mine always stayed the same, and they mated near several different burrows, some close, some not so close. All shots were from a low laying beach chair ( equipped with cup holder) with low angle tripod set up right in front of it.
Human perspective: "Great shots! Thanks for posting. YGMV."
Owl perspective: "Hey man, can we get a little privacy here! You're not going to post that are you."
Herb, these are truly amazing and outstanding images you've captured. Not many of us, even though maybe lucky enough to find a Burrowing Owl burrow, have seen action such as this. Well done.
